Life of Riley

VI End Logo for Race Calendar

Wednesday June 13 @ 6:30pm

Doesn’t everyone want to live the Life of Riley! Well now you can, at least in trail form. This 7km race was designed to give you that sense of freedom on the trails. To do that we first had to find the right location and the beautiful Lantzville forest is it. The trails are never busy, they are beautiful and challenging. Then we had to find the right route. This race is all on single track. It has a great climb then a fun fast downhill.

The Life of Riley trail race wouldn’t happen without the financial support of Applecross Veterinary Hospital; a strong supporter of endurance events on central Vancouver Island. If you like to run with your dog be sure to check out the Applecross Vet Trail Dog Race Series.

Start Time

This race starts at 6:30pm.

There will be a short pre-race briefing before you start where you will be updated on course conditions, and a quick rundown of the race rules.

Location

The Life of Riley trail race takes place in Lantzville forest. Parking is on the street near Sywash Ridge and Normarel Dr.

The Course

The Start/Finish for this race will be under the powerlines. There is a good network of trails in the forest don’t worry our trails will be well marked. We are running on the main double track for a couple of hundred meters then we hit the single track and go up! Once you get to the top (don’t worry you’ll know) we head back down on what I call single track and a half for about 2km then it’s back to the single track.
